Shop Our Used Bookstore For Bargains
Friends of the Library operates a well-stocked, reasonably priced used bookstore in a corner the Rancho Santa Margarita Library building. If you're looking for something in particular, one of our volunteers will be glad to point you in the right direction. If you're just browsing, enjoy yourself! You're sure to find a bargain or two.
Fiction
We have an extensive collection of fiction, which is shelved in two main categories: Hardbacks / oversize paperbacks and regular paperbacks. Both sections are alphabetized by author's last name. We also have shelving for "Latest Fiction" where we keep 2007, 2008 and 2009 books. We also have breakout sections for romance and science fiction.
Non-Fiction
We have an aisle set aside for our non-fiction offerings. Categories include: writing and literature, humor, crafts, home and garden, cooking, dieting, health and beauty, history and politics, business, finance, economy, computer science, education, sports, pets and animals, religion, spirituality, self help and potpourri. We also have breakout shelving for "Newer Non-Fiction" and a section for biographies and "true" non-fiction (think SeaBiscuit and Tuesdays with Morrie).
Childrens
One of our most popular areas is the corner that is home to our children's books. Expanded shelving holds everything from toddler board books through young adult reading. Children are welcome to browse through our children's books while their parents shop. Perhaps you'll both find treasures. We also have a nice selection of parenting books in the children's section.
Classics, Cliff Notes, Large Print, Audio, Reference and More
Just to the right if you're facing our check-out desk, you'll find a selection of classics, plays, Cliff Notes, large print books, audio books, reference books and CDs. We also have a few magazines (in the desk shelving).
